The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) is for students in Early Years through PYP 6.

As the foundational programme in the IB continuum, the PYP is appropriate for a wide range of learning styles and it prepares children for the challenges of schooling, life, and the future. Teachers are encouraged to bring local and global issues into the classroom and to examine them across subject areas. The curriculum framework is organized around six transdisciplinary themes:

• Where We Are in Place and Time
• How We Express Ourselves
• How the World Works
• How We Organize Ourselves
• Sharing The Planet

These themes allow teachers to develop a programme of inquiry that is both relevant and rigorous, and involves significant input from students.
