When joining EIS for the first time, each student is given a red EIS t-shirt. Any additional purchases of EIS clothing are the choice of each family.  

EIS does not have a daily uniform policy nor is it mandatory for students to where the EIS apparel. There are times when all students will be encouraged to wear the red EIS t-shirt for special school events, and it is highly encouraged that students, especially Secondary, wear a red EIS t-shirt when participating in Physical Education classes. 

It is a requirement for students to wear the red EIS t-shirt when participating in an athletic or academic extracurricular club. 

In support of developing school spirit, EIS holds house team events throughout the school year. All Primary students are placed in one of four house teams: Currie, Einstein, Jemison, or Darwin. There are specific house colours for each team and a house t-shirt is available for families to purchase. It is not a requirement to purchase this t-shirt for house events. Any shirt in the colour of the house team works.
