Primary (PYP) Sport
The PE Department at EIS offers students the opportunity to engage in a variety of sports throughout the curriculum, including football, basketball, gymnastics, floor hockey, cricket, tennis, and badminton. We aim to develop and extend students’ skills whilst giving them a chance to experience as many different sports as possible at a young age.
After-school clubs are another way students can get involved with sport in Primary. We offer a range of sports clubs, varying each term, some of which have been chosen by the students themselves. These teams are a great way for students to stay active, improve their abilities and socialize with friends. Many of our students take part in competitive team sports. Students selected for these teams take part in training sessions and compete against other international schools in Denmark.
Secondary (MYP) Sport
Our school offers a wide range of sports to students of all ages. We aim to develop and extend their skills whilst giving students a chance to experience as many different sports as possible to enthuse their love for sporting activities.
Inter-school sport is an integral part of our school culture; regular training is provided with a high level of coaching, allowing students to compete in regional leagues. We encourage students to explore their competitive side through sport.
We are fortunate to own sporting facilities fully equipped with a large field and multi-use sports hall, which hosts our Physical and Health Education (PHE) lessons, training for extra-curricular opportunities, and team training.
Clubs
EIS students participate in Clubs throughout the school year. Typical Clubs include Model United Nations, Yearbook, Newsletter Club, Student Council, Environmental Club, Choir, Band, and Drama/Theatre. All Clubs finish their efforts by producing or presenting the achievements. This can be a performance, published documents, or a trip to a conference.
